MTS Awarded Northside License Office
Posted May 7, 2013 in News Category
Less than one year after obtaining the state licensing office in Maplewood, Mid-America Transplant Services was awarded in April the Northside license office on North Kingshighway Boulevard. MTS began operating the office on Tuesday, May 7 at a new location at the corner of North Euclid Avenue and Delmar Boulevard.
As part of a strategic registry initiative focusing on St. Louis city and county, MTS has developed a relationship with the staff at the Northside office during the last 12 months. This office was a significant contributor to MTS achieving its goal to increase donor registration rates last year. The Northside office increased its designation rate from 12.2% in March 2012 to 34.3% in December 2012. This improvement is important because MTS analyzed data which shows donation consent rates increase when a potential donor is on the registry.
In July 2012, MTS became the first organ procurement organization nationwide to operate a local DMV office. MTS utilized the unique opportunity in Maplewood to inform customers of the organ and tissue donor registry, test new ideas to encourage the public to join the registry, and improve customer service. MTS will continue testing new ideas and best practices in the Northside office.
Through testing, MTS identified an opportunity to offer customers appointments to conduct transactions at the offices. By visiting www.mtsdmv.com, customers can reduce their time waiting at the license office by placing their name on the waiting list before arriving to the license office or scheduling an appointment for a future date and time.
The Northside office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the first and last Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
