Board Member Spotlight: Dr. David Jaques

Posted December 19, 2014 in News Category

To acknowledge our Board of Directors’ dedication and support to our lifesaving mission, MTS will be introducing Board members through a series of videos over the next several months. The series begins with Dr. David Jaques, Vice President of Surgical Services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, featured in the video at right.

Dr. Jaques joined the MTS board in 2008. He has been instrumental in ensuring all families of potential donors at Barnes-Jewish Hospital are given the opportunity to donate, which resulted in more lives saved in our community.

Since joining the Board of Directors, Dr. Jaques has proven to be a thoughtful, engaged contributor. His ideas spark discussion to support the MTS mission to save lives through excellence in organ and tissue donation.

The MTS Board of Directors is an 18-person, voluntary, community-based group composed of Donor Family members, hopsital executives, physicians, and other disciplines, including ethics, religion, and law. The Board sets the strategic direction to support the organization in acheiving its mission and vision, and ultimately saving more lives in the communities we serve.
