After a month of planning, MTS is officially operating the state licensing office in Maplewood, MO. As the first organ procurement organization in the country to run a local DMV office, we have a unique opportunity to not only enhance customer service, but also to identify new ways in which we can encourage people to learn about organ and tissue donation and sign up on a donor registry

For some, it is their only hope of survival, and more lives could be saved each year if more people made the decision to join the organ and tissue donor registry. Additionally, thousands benefit from tissue donation annually.
Deven is a six-year-old liver recipient. He’s four years removed from his transplant at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Doctors said he would never walk, talk, smile, or show emotion. They said Deven would never advance developmentally beyond that of a newborn.
Residents seeking services at the Maplewood licensing office will benefit from longer hours and a larger staff as Mid-America Transplant Services (MTS) begins operation of the facility on Thursday, July 5, 2012.MTS will extend hours by a half-hour each weekday and remain open every Saturday.
Mid-America Transplant Services was awarded the Maplewood License Office by the Missouri Department of Revenue in May. MTS is scheduled to begin managing the office, at 3238 Laclede Station Road in the Deer Creek Plaza, on July 1.
