DMV Education
As part of our work to educate the public Mid-America Transplant works closely with DMV facilities across our service area.
DMV employees play a critical role in the donation process. Individuals are asked if they would like to join the national donor registry when they request a drivers license or state ID card. We provide education and resources to DMV facility team members to make sure they are informed and able to answer questions that may come forward as they ask individuals to join the national registry for organ, eye and tissue donation.
National Recognition
DMV manager Sanela Hall of the South Kingshighway DMV location in St. Louis was awarded the National Lifesaver Award by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. The Lifesaver Award recognizes a DMV staff member who demonstrates exceptional commitment to the DMV’s role as a partner in saving lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation.
