I lost my beautiful mother and best friend on January 29, 2017 from a cerebral hemorrhage.

She was a Godly woman that was always willing to do for others, no matter what the need may be and always gave unconditionally. She had a heart of gold and cared dearly for her loving husband, children and grandchildren. She was the second to youngest of 10 in her family and cared for her youngest sister for over 24 years after her father passed. Family was number one priority in her life. She loved working on the farm with my dad, and after she retired they did all the farm work together. She was proud of her grandkids and she taught them so much. She was simply an Amazing woman and we miss her dearly each and every day, but hold tight to all the great memories we made with her.

After her stroke, we knew that giving the gift of life was something that would keep on giving after her passing. We discussed it as a family, and knew it was something she would want. Later were informed that she had already signed up at our local license office several years prior to do just that.

Now after nearly 5 years since her passing, we know that at least one of her recipients is still living life to the fullest because of her gift of life.

Our family has come together each year since her passing for the Virtual Celebrate Life 5K! We do this to honor the life of my mother, but to also bring awareness to others about organ and tissue donation. We would love to have you join our team #lucillescrew
