We lost our dad, Jerry, one year ago on November 6th. One of his regrets in life was he was unable to serve his country and help people during the Vietnam War due to him being born with polio. He lost a good friend in that war. Later in life, in 2015 dad had a heart attack. He asked in the hospital for one thing, and that was when he passed someday that we made sure that he became an organ donor so he could help people and make up for what he was unable to do then. We followed his request and he was able to donate eye tissue and a bone graft to help 3 people live better lives. Dad has also left a legacy behind to his two children and 12 grandchildren who have all agreed to organ donation when the time comes for them. Dad is truly our hero, and we love and miss him so much!
