Jared Satchell







An athlete, a goofball, a traveler, a dreamer, and a generous friend. These are the main characteristics that are spoken about Jared Satchell. Much of Jared’s life was centered around the goals that he had created for himself. When he entered Taekwondo, he set out to achieve Junior Olympic Champion as a black belt. Through the years he earned his 4th degree black belt, as well as many sparring awards, earning him the recognition of Master. Jared mentored younger martial arts students teaching them the five tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. These tenets are what Jared lived his life by and instilled in his students as well as the importance of family.
Jared also excelled in bowling, golf, and football showing him the value of hard work in achieving one’s goals. Though Jared fought his personal demons of depression, anxiety and addiction, he still dreamt and found solace in the places he traveled and explored in life. He loved hiking mountains, trying new cultures throughout Europe, and making a difference to the world he traveled around. Through his organ and tissue donation, he is able to further travel the world and become a part of new goals and aspirations as people receive second chances and new opportunities. His courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit will continue to live on as Jared continues to achieve his goal of making a difference to the world that he is now dispersed throughout.
